New Gear Tips - Awakening Necklace

08/24/2020

Heroes Evolved has released Awakening Necklace via a new update.

Awakening Necklace

Awakening Necklace is well worth the cost of 5,000 Gold. It’s neither very high priced nor hard to build, but it provides the highest attribute bonus compared with those of other advanced gears. With all these features, Awakening Necklace is highly recommended to awakenable heroes when they build the 3rd or 4th advanced gear, which gives a significant boost once the hero is awakened. Though Awakening Necklace takes one of the six slots for Pros gears built in late game, it turns out to be a worthy choice to get stunning attribute bonus and awesome Awaken effect.

Awakening Necklace is the most beneficial for awakenable heroes to acquire Awaken effects, and it may be not a good choice for others who can only get its attribute bonus. There are currently 7 awakenable heroes in the game. Let’s get down to the Awaken effects on them.

1. Zhao Yun (Recommended: ☆☆☆☆)
Ultimate Ability - Invincible: Reduces its cooldown from 42/36/30s to 36/30/24s, and makes Zhao Yun immune to crowd control after hitting an enemy hero unit.
Ability 2 - Dragon-coil Spear: Reduces its cooldown from 12s to 10s, and increases its attack radius.
Zhao Yun has 2 abilities with Awaken effect, and both are for control. The CC immunity for his ultimate ability improves Zhao Yun’s confidence in straight confrontation. After hitting an enemy with the ultimate ability, Zhao Yun can choose to dash straight or get free for a while. In combination of the gear’s cooldown reduction and Dragon-coil Spear, Zhao Yun can disable enemies multiple times, giving his allies more chances to reap. There are still more possibilities for you to explore.

2. Dragos (Recommended: ☆☆☆)
Ultimate Ability - Dragonform: Reduces its cooldown from 40s to 30s, and grants fire and ice buffs while taking the form of dragon.
Note that the duration of Dragonform is 25 seconds. The time limit can be ignored by equipping Dragos with Awakening Necklace plus Death Claw, which makes the fire and ice buffs permanent. Dragos uses the Awaken effect for both Gold farming and DPS. However, Awakening Necklace is not recommended as the 1st gear built, because at that time, Dragos may be not yet ready for maxed passive ability. The combination of maxed passive ability and Awakening Necklace can produce the best performance.

3. Chronia (Recommended: ☆☆☆☆☆)
Awaken effect benefits Chronia the most. Besides improving the annoying cast method of her ultimate ability, it unbelievably change the target from single to multiple. Awakening Necklace is definitely the first choice for Chronia after she acquires the ability.

4. Cleopatra (Recommended: ☆☆☆☆)
In addition to bonus damage, the Awaken effect refreshes the cooldown of other abilities after Cleopatra casts the ultimate ability. It means Cleopatra will have a set of abilities ready immediately after launching a critical strike, which gives Cleopatra a much bigger chance to fix the target missed. Moreover, Cleopatra will no longer get awkward in the situation that Ability 1 is still cooling down when the 2nd wave of ultimate ability finishes, being unable to control. The Awaken effect perfectly solves this problem of Cleopatra in duel and teamfight.

5. Pyrrhus (Recommended: ☆☆☆☆)
Enflame: Reduces its cooldown and knocks enemies back.
Banishment: Steals enemy’s movement speed and increases the caster’s attack speed.
Awaken effect makes up Pyrrhus’ lack of control, but the knockback effect is only enough for self-defense or counterstrike in teamfight, not for attacking in advance. The effect of movement speed steal can be used with passive ability to deal huge damage. It may be an opportunity for Pyrrhus to rise again. You will never know without a try.

6. Aiden (Recommended: ☆☆☆☆)
Rapid Fire: Allows the caster to move while casting this ability.
Bullseye: Increases its bonus damage from 16/24/32/40 to 32/40/48/56.
Awaken effect makes Aiden’s ultimate ability more practical. A mobile caster with 8 seconds of ultimate ability and enhanced passive damage will pose a dangerous threat to his opponent in late teamfight. After pinning down a target with the two abilities, Aiden can deal triple passive damage which is an extraordinary high value, getting a more steady damage output in late game.

7. Lotus (Recommended: ☆☆☆)
Phoenix Rising: Allows the caster to move while casting this ability. Enemy movement slowdown is adjusted from 35% to 20%.
Spring Blossoms: Increases the number of allied heroes healed from 2 to 3.
There is a bigger chance for Lotus to survive in combat if she can move while casting ultimate ability. However, as a support hero, Lotus earns less Gold, which needs to be considered.
