Heroes Evolved provides a huge list of heroes to choose from. It may be difficult to figure out what heroes suit you, especially if you are new. Here we recommend some easy-to-play heroes for beginners to practice.

1. Crystal
How to Obtain: Beginners can unlock Crystal on their 1st check-in day.
Hero's Role: Crystal is a typical mage usually played in the middle lane as a pioneer with explosive reaping ability.
How to Use: Crystal has two AoE abilities to slow enemies by attaching the Icy effect. Her ranged ability allows Crystal to harass enemies from a long distance. She can also freeze targets through her passive ability. When her Ability 2 hits an enemy unit debuffed with Icy, the cooldown of this ability will be reduced. This ability mechanic enables Crystal to launch a blast of attacks and deal high damage consistently when her abilities are well cooled down.
Recommended Jewels & Glyphs:
Blood Magic (Red) + Miser (Major)
Mana Regen (Blue) + Bounty Hunter (Major)
Racer (Green) + Devourer (Major)
As a mage with the potential to deal bursts of damage, Crystal focuses on casting her Ability 2 consistently by taking advantage of its cooldown reduction. The recommended Jewels grant Crystal Magic Power and Life Steal regeneration, Mana regeneration, and bonus movement speed respectively. The Glyphs will support her as needed, help her develop, and ensure the Mana regeneration in teamfights.
Recommended Item Build: Wizard Boots, Agility Wand, Chronos Crown, Quick Pulse, Alchemist's Orb, Pharaoh's Shroud, and Glimmering Coronet
Wizard Boots and Agility Wand can reduce cooldown significantly, which allow Crystal to deal a burst of damage in the early game. Chronos Crown provides bonus Magic Power. Quick Pulse and Alchemist's Orb can not only enhance her Health, but also grant Life Steal regeneration and magic buffs. Pharaoh's Shroud and Glimmering Coronet protect Crystal in teamfights, giving her opportunity to prepare for the next burst of damage.

2. Lunaria
How to Obtain: Beginners can unlock Lunaria on their 4th check-in day.
Hero's Role: Lunaria is played as a mage good at pioneering, harassing, and reaping in the middle lane.
How to Use: Lunaria has an AoE ability to cause movement slow. Her control ability is used against a single target. Her ultimate ability allows Lunaria to kill targets from a long distance, making reaping and harassing possible. When her passive ability is triggered, Lunaria can deal additional damage. It makes Lunaria so special. While damaging a single target with abilities, Lunaria may take advantage of her passive ability to deal a high burst of damage relying on basic attacks.

Recommended Jewels & Glyphs:
Cunning (Red) + Miser (Major)
Mana Regen (Blue) + Bounty Hunter (Major)
Mage Craft (Green) + Back and Forth (Major)
Lunaria has a good laning performance in the early game. She needs Magic Power and cooldown buffs to trigger her passive ability rapidly. In combination with the Mana Regen (Blue), which provides regeneration support, Lunaria can gank with ease.
Recommended Item Build: Wizard Boots, Chronos Crown, Demon Diadem, Quick Pulse, Pharaoh's Shroud, Pharaoh's Shroud, and Glimmering Coronet
